AAC blocks vs red bricks: cost, strength and speed compared

One 600×200×200 mm AAC block replaces roughly nine standard clay bricks, uses a thin-bed adhesive instead of thick mortar, and weighs about a third as much per cubic metre.
When red bricks still win
For load-bearing single-storey homes and where local labour is unfamiliar with AAC, well-burnt wire-cut bricks remain a solid choice.
